Frequently Asked Questions
What services does Wilkerson Advisory Group provide?
We deliver holistic wealth management that covers Wealth Planning, Retirement Planning, Tax Planning & Preparation, Estate Planning, Business Planning, and Diverse Investment Strategies—so every piece of your financial life works together in one plan.
Are you a fiduciary and why is that important?
Yes. As an independent, fee-based Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), we are legally obligated to act solely in your best interest. That fiduciary commitment removes product-sales bias and lets us craft advice around your goals, not ours
How are you compensated?
Our advisors are compensated through a transparent advisory fee rather than commissions. This fee-based model aligns our success with yours and helps eliminate conflicts of interest.
Who do you typically work with?
We serve a wide range of clients—including professionals, business owners, private clients, pre-retirees, retirees, and younger investors—who value sophisticated, long-term planning, and wealthy families and assist them in the succession planning process.
What is your investment philosophy?
We employ diversified, factor-based investment models—paired with alternative investments and structured products—designed for consistency and intentional decision-making rather than chasing market headlines. Portfolios are monitored daily and customized to each client’s objectives and risk tolerance.
How will you coordinate with my CPA, attorney, or insurance agent?
Strategic coordination is built into our process. We collaborate with your outside professionals to ensure tax, legal, and risk-management strategies all pull in the same direction, preventing costly gaps.
Do you offer in-house tax planning?
We have partnered with an affiliate tax firm, Squires Tax Planning, to give clients the opportunity to work with tax experts who take a proactive, year-round approach to reducing tax liability. Learn more about this tax team here: https://www.squirestaxplanning.com/.
What credentials do your advisors hold?
Our multi-generational team includes 3 Certified Financial Planner™ professionals (CFP®), 2 Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisors™ (CPFA™), and 1 Certified Public Accountant (CPA), giving you depth of expertise across planning disciplines.
What does your planning process look like?
It starts with an in-depth consultation, moves into thorough analysis and risk assessment, then a tailored implementation across investments, tax, estate, and insurance. We schedule regular reviews and refine the strategy as your life and markets evolve.
How often will we meet?
At minimum we meet annually, and can meet several times per year depending on your situation, to review progress, update your plan, and address life or market changes—keeping your strategy relevant and on-track.
